01Which languages can I learn?
Seventeen are built in — English, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Cantonese, Japanese, Korean, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Arabic and Hindi — and you can type in another. The app itself is in English and Simplified Chinese.
02Do I need an account?
No. There's no Converloop account. If you use Converloop AI, the app registers a service ID for your device instead — there's nothing to sign up for.
03What does it remember about me?
Only learning state: your languages and level, goals, practice preferences, errors, expression gaps and review progress. Personal details from your conversations are never kept as memory across chats.
04Does anything leave my device?
It depends on what you choose. Apple Intelligence's on-device model keeps requests on your iPhone; Private Cloud Compute is processed by Apple. With your own key, text goes straight to that provider; with Converloop AI, it goes to our service after you agree. Converloop AI voices send the text to be spoken to Xiaomi MiMo. Your learning records stay on the device.
05Which devices are supported?
iPhone and iPad on iOS or iPadOS 26 or later. Apple Intelligence also needs a device and region where it's available; if yours isn't one, use your own key or Converloop AI.
06How much does it cost?
Every feature is free for 7 days. After that, Converloop Full is a one-time purchase for use with Apple Intelligence or your own key, and Converloop AI is a yearly subscription. Converloop AI voices are free.
07Is there a desktop version?
Yes — Converloop for Desktop is a separate, free and open-source app for macOS, with its own codebase and features. About Converloop for Desktop →
08When can I get it?
Converloop is in TestFlight now and coming to the App Store soon. Email me if you'd like to hear when it's out.
